Mrs Wigley was not the wife of Wirra Wirra founder Bob Wigley, but a particular pussycat who spent her days in the Wirra Wirra Cellars. The Grenache Rosé that takes her name is a crowd pleaser with juicy blackberries and cherries on the palate and a bouquet of cherry, rose and lavender. The luscious, fresh-fruit sweetness is tempered by a light, savoury tannin finish making this the perfect summer picnic wine.
Brilliant pale crimson with flashes of magenta. Ripe field strawberries and raspberries fill the bouquet with nuances of leaf and perfumed spice. Crushed raspberries, sun-ripened strawberries and blood orange soak the palate with moreish flavour. A complex savoury edge with subtle, vermouth-like spice and herbal notes and topped off with lingering, juicy sweetness.
